Display :PAL' This demo is showing off a vector'graphics system. Part one puts some'vector objects through their paces'while part two is a marvelous space'opera with vector spaceships, boats,'submarines and fish moving among'beautifully drawn backdrops and backed%by a suitably atmospheric soundtrack.' This superb disk is a must-have for'all demo lovers. It starts off by'explaining the vector system. "A'SPECIAL LANGUAGE HAVE BEEN DEVELOPPED'FOR THIS PIECE OF CODE. IT'S CALLED'MODEL AND ALLOW YOU TO MAKE COMPLEX'SCRIPTS". The English may not be so'hot, something this monolingual writer'would never criticize, but the coding'can't be faulted. The script'mentioned above is just a text file -'you can examine it with a text editor'if you wish so I guess Model is an'interpreter, just like Basic. It'certainly performs well enough though'with all the usual colour-filled 3D'shapes plus spheres, elypses and even'shadows. Add a decent object editor'plus a manual for the language and the'system should be marketable. Then we'could all knock out movies to rival the'one in the second half of this demo.'The objects are also present in a text'file - you can use them if you wish as#long as you acknowledge the source.' Highlights of the first half are a'sky-writing vector plane, a'helicopter, a mouse and "Poi Poi"'which is not the Maori Poi dance but a'vector band playing along to the

'music. But the show stopper is the'second half with the vector objects'placed on top of Elmer's artwork. The'music by AudioMonster, "Apocalypse",'is the perfect accompaniment. This is'a very effective method of presenting'a graphic story and hopefully will be'explored further in future demos. It'must certainly be a very memory!efficient way to make animations.' So to the story. After cocking up'his previous mission our hero, the'enigmatic Lt. John, is given another'chance to prove himself by exploring a'newly discovered planet. After an'eventful trip through space he arrives'at his destination and proceeds to'explore the planet's undersea life.'These underwater scenes are'marvelously presented. But then the'story suddenly ends! That's it! "THE'EXPLORATION IS NOT YET FINISHED... BUT'WE HAVE NO TIME TO FINISH IT... MAY BE'SEE YOU LATER...". Oh well, it's fun'while it lasts. The demo itself ends'with a nice tribute to Tobias Richter's
ray tracing prowess.' They mention that as Model runs'under Amiga Dos maybe there could be a'CDTV version. And why not? Though if'they haven't enough time to finish'this little story how are they going'to fill a CD? But as it stands this'disk's got great vectors plus some'lovely pictures and music - what more'could you want in a demo? Well OK
